Takahiro Obata

Born in 1984 in Oita Prefecture Takahiro started playing keyboard instruments at the age of 4, and became devoted to jazz at the age of 14. He studied composition, arrangement and orchestration under Taro Kono, jazz piano under Katsuya Tamura, and classical piano under Yukiko Miyazaki. Takahiro started playing professionally at various jazz spots while attending university. As a professional keyboardist, he also participated in many artists' live tours such as Inori Minase, Sarah Àlain, and Fujisawa's Music Recitation.

In 2019, he was selected to compose for the TV anime series: The Promised Neverland. Its soundtrack won first place in the Best Award Soundtrack of 6th Anime Trending. Among them, "Isabella's Song”, has been listened to by many fans all over the world. He is specialized in fusing his own jazz style into various genres, and incorporating it in band sounds, dance music, and orchestras.
